Our partnership
A relationship almost
as important as the tequila.
This tequila is a joint effort: one house grows and distills it, the other carries it across the Gulf of California and puts it in front of people. Neither half works alone. Four friends, one Canadian and three from the Big Sky country of Montana, set out to develop a superior tequila for their friends and businesses. The journey lead them to Jalisco, Mexico where they spent time touring and testing the areas leading distilleries. Eventually they were won over by Don David and the family at Tequilera Tateposco. The best tequila backed up by a family with the tradition to build a relationship with.
The distillery
Tequilera Tateposco
Amatitan, Jalisco
The makers. A distillery rooted in generations of agave craft, where the agave is harvested, cooked, fermented and distilled on the same ground it was grown on.
- 100% blue agave
- Harvested by hand
- Distilled and bottled on site
The house
Cowboys Bootleggers
Baja California Sur
The north end of the relationship. A Baja brand built for the peninsula — desert heat, sea air, and a market that drinks what it trusts. We shape the bottle and carry the tequila home.
- Brand, bottle and label
- Distribution across B.C.S.
- Made for desert and sea
Two signatures on one tequila — one from the valley, one from the peninsula.
